Morning Shows or Supernatural

 You’re at home; up early around 9:30 in the morning and due to some stupid reason you decide to watch something on TV. You turn your TV on and what you get to watch is a creepy set, a duppatta laden morning show host with a constipated look on her face and a bunch of Baba jis.

You wonder for a second WTF is going on here so you actually start watching that show and in a minute or two you realize this is not an episode of supernatural but some stupid morning show doing an episode on jinns. It haven't been long for us to forget " The Maya Khan" episode of Date busters, but this time we've got ourselves with something even bigger than that, yesss Ghost busters. I wonder where the jinn and black magicians might be running to hide themselves from this battalion of morning show hosts with the power puffed mullahs saving the world from the evils of jinn and dark magic. The Babajis on the show think any bad thing happening to you is actually because someone have casted a dark spell on you or there are some jinns at your place. I have even heard a bad-ass baba ji say: "Mai nai jin ko khallas kar dia".

Soon bored by their lame talk and stupid stunts you change the channel to watch something sane. But you see the same setting with a bunch of aunties, uncles, babajis and a male host with a less frightened look on his face, this time the host along with the babajis is acting all macho. Trying to figure out what’s going around on this channel you decides to watch for a couple of minutes and what you get to experience here is true motherly love of an aunty for the host. The aunty is telling the show host that she knows, He (The host) is under the influence of some real “ Burri nazar” and she have known this since a very long time, all she wanted since then was to set the host free from this “burri nazar” so she brings in with her some daal and mirchain and starts performing some anti-buri nazar ritual. Teary eyed to watch such real love for the host you change the channel.

Oh! And there’s another channel with the same old creepy crap a duppata covered hostess and guess what she have a different theme to her program me this time. This one’s for spirits for the love of God lady at least let the spirits roam around freely. This creepy set have a mirror too the hostess is sitting with her eyes closed and with complete faith in the lady standing by her side performing some ritual to let her see her own spirit. The lady performing the ritual looks annoyed by the male spirit specialists aka Baba jis, who are constantly nagging her about her the authenticity of her ritual, telling her that this thing have no religious relevance and bla bla bla.

When your mind finally refuses to take in any more of this immaturity you turn your TV off rather than throwing it out of your window. Dumbstruck with all that you’ve just watched you gather up some courage to say “FML!! I don’t want to live on this planet any more.”
